#16

15. Read a book considered to be a classic
16. Buy Hiccup a book for each holiday
17. Read with Hiccup everyday (start with one month)

I love books. I have always wanted my kids to have a great library so I decided that with each kid I would buy them a book for all the different holidays. For the first little while the books will be holiday themed but I'm sure we'll run out of those and let the kids pick out a book on their own when they get older.

Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Dr. Seuss's Birthday

Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day

4th of July, Hiccup's Birthday

Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas

# 56

from my 101 in 1001 list :

54. Make ham fried rice
55. Make my ‘famous’ chocolate shakes
56. Have Hiccup help me make a treat; expose him to cooking
57. Make Hiccup’s baby food *DONE!* & BLOGGED
58. Use the grill we got for our wedding that is still in the original box

I made brownies yesterday; super fancy ones that come from a box. I'm not a big fan of brownies so I hardly ever make them and when I do, they don't get a whole lot of time or attention from me.
Hiccup was a whiny boy yesterday so I thought I would try to distract him. He held the whisk while we mixed the liquids and then held the spoon as we added the dry mix. He absolutely loved it. He thought he was so impressive. His little fingertips were white from holding on to the spoon so tightly. He got mad at me when we were done mixing and had to put the batter in the pan. I think from now on I will have him help me in the kitchen more often.

Concerts in a Bucket

Inspired by my bucket list and concert posts, I've been thinking a lot about what concerts I'd really like to go to in the future.

*John Butler Trio: Casey and I are going for our anniversary next month, I am very excited!

* Brad Paisley

*Mumford & Sons

*Bon Iver

*Rush

Any other suggestions of good concerts you've been to??
